Affiliate Marketing is one of the most popular ways to make a living online when you monetize online content. You will read many stories about entrepreneurs who have found massive success by simply referring high converting leads to affiliate businesses...but sometimes its just not that easy, especially if you are just starting out in affiliate marketing especially HTAM - High Ticket Affiliate Marketing.

To make life easier for you new entrepreneurs out there here are my top affiliate marketing tips for beginners.

Choosing a niche

When choosing a niche many entrepreneurs get told to "drill down" and go for a niche where there isn't much competition that way you can target more traffic. This is all sound advice but personally I went for the Make Money niche and business education because this was my passion, becoming a coach and helping others make a living online.
You should choose a niche depending on your ability, yes granted the target audiences is important and the competition, but you should give priority to your ability and passion because this is ultimately what is going to drive you to get the results you want. If your passion and ability is not there for a chosen niche then there is no point in pursuing it.

Give good value

When you have your qualified target audience try to focus on content marketing rather than marketing specific products. Your probably wondering why am I telling you not to sell to your audience, well actually by giving great free content ( much like what your reading here ) you are forging a good relationship with your audience making you more trustworthy when they see a product you start to market. By doing this and giving solutions to their problems you are establishing a level of authority that helps your followers feel comfortable taking action on your affiliate links.

Work in unison

Whilst you have good content marketing and SEO practice you still need that good flow of constant targeted traffic, this is the fuel that keeps your beast moving. The best way to expand your reach, increase exposure, and forge even deeper connections with a wider audience is market your brand through multi-channel, by this I mean using all platforms in unison. Building a list for email marketing, sharing your content via social media and your SEO will naturally grow.  The idea behind this is to get all of your actions and efforts working in unison to build your audience and promote your brand.

Be patient

Your affiliate earnings builds up with time. Remember that some programs offer lifetime payouts meaning that once you refer someone to the program you are promoting, you will continue to make money from that one visitor even if they don't come back to your site. Your links on your site dont go anywhere so as long as your driving the traffic then your great content will take over and do the work for you.

Remember that affiliate programs aren't there as a get rich quick plan, instead they provideopportunity to make passive income, Even HTAM - High ticket affiliate marketing, you must be patient with to create that flow of targeted traffic and eventually passive income.

Be transparent

Always disclose your results to your followers because they will appreciate your honesty, and will feel better about contributing to your earnings knowing that your the real deal and showing that you know how to produce results. Offer a bonus or some type of incentive if they take action and use your affiliate link over others that are boasting bigger earnings.

Multiple sources

Affiliate programs aren't all the same. They offer different products, services, and payment structures. Some programs will have a lifetime payout on sales while others will limit it to 30-90 days. Its always good to try out more than one program once you are all set and earning with one program, move onto another either similar or different to create another stream of income. Each program will attract different audiences which is always good as it will only increase your traffic load.
